Question:
Would praying with a baby in a carrier with a wet diaper nullify ṣalāh?

If the diaper of the baby that the one is holding during prayer, has najāsah (impurities) in it, such as stool or urine, this will invalidate the prayer otherwise not. One who is offering prayer (ṣalāh) must be pure and clean, and also not be holding on to anything that is unclean or impure, for the validity of the prayer. – (See: Rad Al-Muḥtār, Vol 1, Page 403, Dār Al-Fikr)
Abū Qatada Anṣārī (may Allāh be pleased with him) narrates, “I saw the Prophet Muḥammad (peace and blessings be upon him) leading the people in prayer with [baby] Umāmah, daughter of Abul-‘Āṣ and Zaynab, daughter of the Messenger of Allāh (peace and blessings be upon him), on his shoulder. When he bowed, he put her down, and when he got up after prostration, he lifted her up again.” – (Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 543)
