What is the ruling regarding the issue of Ḥaram courtyards for women in menstruation?
Answer:

The courtyards of the grand masjids at Makkah and Madīnah are not considered the actual masjid, therefore sisters with menses are permitted to sit there. This would not be considered a violation of entering the masjid during menses. However, for Masjid Al-Aqsā, the entire compound, not only the structures on it are considered the masjid. – (See: Rad Al-Muḥtār, Vol 1, Page 657[1] and 585[2] Dār Al-Fikr)
