Question:

Is it necessary to take a bath/ ghusl when there is discharge after talking to my fiancé? Does washing the area suffice?

Answer:

In the Name of God, Most Merciful, Most Kind

If madhīy (pre-seminal fluid, a sticky transparent discharge when sexually aroused) exits the private organ, wudū (ablution) becomes necessary. Taking a bath will not be required. You would wash the soiled areas of the genital and also the affected clothing. (See: Hidāyah)
