What are the things forbidden while in iḥrām during ʿUmrah and or Ḥajj?

During the sacred state of iḥrām, the following matters are prohibited:

• Clipping nails of the fingers or toes. (See: Quran 2:196)

• Trimming or plucking any hair of the body. (See: Quran 2:196)

• Using or applying perfumes, scents or ʿitr. (See: Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim)

• Flirting or sexual intercourse. (See: Quran 2:197)

• Covering the face for women in such a way where the veil or cloth touches the face. (See: Ṣaḥīḥ Bukhārī)

• Stitched clothing for men. (See: Ṣaḥīḥ Bukhārī)

• Covering the head for men. (See: Ṣaḥīḥ Bukhārī)

• Hunting. (See: Quran 5:196)
