This is a very, very, good introduction to the Classical Arabic grammatical sciences, sarf and nahw. The information in it does apply to Modern Standard Arabic also, my only complaint was that it was a bit too short. That said these ten lessons are packed with principles and workable information. It gives a better quick overview of Arabic grammar than many works I've seen. I highly encourage you reading this to go ahead and buy it.
Great book. Must know fundamentals for starting the journey.
